Please use the St. Joseph school code 447270 when registering for tests. A "bad" score is not used against you in any way, and we can better serve your counseling needs if we have all of your scores.
PSAT
The PSAT is given to all 10th and 11th grade students. The school pays the fee for this test.
THEA* (formerly TASP)
All students who are entering a Texas public institution of higher education as a full-time or part-time student in an associate or baccalaureate degree program must take the THEA, unless they qualify for exemption. You may be exempt for all or part of the THEA based on the following:
• A student with an SAT I score of at least 1070 and a math score of at least 500 is exempt from the math requirement.
• A student with an SAT I score of at least 1070 and a verbal score of at least 500 is exempt from the reading and writing requirements.
• A student with an ACT composite score of at least 23 and a math score of at least 19 is exempt from the math requirement.
• A student with an ACT composite score of at least 23 and an English score of at least 19 is exempt from the reading and writing requirements.
