Marianist LIFE
Living In Faith Experience
Since 1970, the Society of Mary (Marianists) has offered a unique experience in Christian community living for groups of teenagers and moderators from across the United States, Mexico, and Canada. As a faith formation program in the Roman Catholic and Marianist tradition, Marianist LIFE fosters an environment in which participants build Christian community, reflect upon their experiences, and prepare consciously and responsibly to extend the richness of the Marianist charisma in their parish, school, and home communities.
St. Joseph High School's Marianist Life Community (formerly known as CLC) has been participating in the Marianist LIFE program since 1988. For the past 17 years it has sent 145 students for spiritual leadership formation. Faithful to its roots the MLC continues contributing to the spiritual life of the school through regular meetings, retreats, service projects and a mission trip.
Mission Trips
Since 2002 the STJ Marianist Life Community has responded to God's call to service beyond the community of Victoria. The students prepare for their service through an extended program of learning. The missions are centered on empowering the oppressed. It is not only in helping the poor and marginalized, but helping them to realize their dignity by walking alongside them, working with them, praying with them.
The mission trip is open to students, teachers, parents and anyone who feels the call to serve God's people.
