Lyceum Lecture Series
Speaker ... Rebecca Kiessling
Rebecca Kiessling will speak about her stirring story of hope. She is a hopeful and grateful pro-life advocate with the perspective of someone who would not be here today if abortion had been legal. Kiessling was conceived as a result of rape, and her mother, who attempted on two occasions to abort her, gave her up for adoption when she was an infant. When Kiessling met her birth mother and learned of this as a teenager, she struggled to figure out who she was and how to feel good about being alive. Since then, she has realized that life is a gift and every child is precious. Her unique perspective on such a polarizing issue highlights a very different viewpoint on two important and relevant women's issues: rape and abortion.
