Look who is making headlines this year...
Eric Westerman, Class of 2005
Former Flyer, Eric westerman, helped Texas A&M- Commerce secure a third-place finish at the Red River Intercollegiate in college golf. He had a closing-round of 70 and posted an 80-83-70-233.
Blaine Gibson, Class of 2004
Gibson was part of one of the top performances in Texas A&M Corpus Christi cross country history on Septmeber 15, 2007. He helped the Islanders capture the title at the 33rd Rice Invitational in dominating fashion. 
Kevin Westerman, Class of 2007
A former Flyer has made the cut for the Texas A&M football team. He is no. 14.
John Gilley, Class of 2003
A former Flyer has found his home on Texas State's football team. He was a standout defensive end for St. Joseph, and has made the move to tight end at Texas State University. Gilley (No. 90) is in his second year at the postition and is ready for a bigger role in the offense.
Casey Cullen, Class of 2003
A former Flyer is now a scholarship defensive lineman (No. 60) for the Fighting Irish at the University of Notre Dame. Casey was the team captain and all-state his senior year in both football and baseball. He helped lead St. Joseph to the state championship game and a 12-1 record in 2002.

David Heinrich, Class of 1975
Once an active Flyer athlete, David is soaring (or falling) to new heights as a Skydive Instructor in San Marcos, Texas. To learn more about skydiving in San Marcos visit www.skydivesanmarcos.com.
Ricardo Lerma, Class of 2001
The STJ Alum landed a role on NBC's hit show "Friday Night Lights." Lerma will play Coach Hernandez, one of the assistant Coaches. His debut preformance will aired on Tuesday, November 7th.
Alicia Volkmer, Class of 2004
Alicia has received an athletic scholarship to play Division 2 softball at Henderson State University in Arkansas. She will begin playing in Spring of 2007.
Ryan Daniels, Class of 2005
After completing his baseball second season at Blinn in Brenham, Ryan will move to South Carolina. He has signed to play at the Division 1, College of Charleston. Ryan received a two year scholarship to Blinn as a DH and pitcher.
Winston Ruelas, Class of 2006
Ruelas, a St. Joseph graduate, is a junior offensive lineman for the 2-1 Texas State Bobcats. He played eight games his first year as a reserve, started six games last year at left offensive guard and started the first game of this season. The Bobcats are off to a 2-1 start with wins over Angelo State and Texas Southern.
